Day 1. 9 – 4.30pm: Safety theory then visit a vessel
Day 2. 9 – 4.00pm: Theory. Flares, firefighting, survival and life raft exercises.

- Apply basic survival skills – vessel abandonment
- Follow procedures to minimise and fight fires
- Meet work health and safety requirements
- Survive at sea using survival craft
